Intermission: If All the World Were PaperThis year’s Arts & Sciences Competition will be making something out of paper!The competition will open at the beginning of dance practice (1pm) and close at the serving of the second remove. Paper, tools, and scholarly material on period uses of paper will be provided. Entrants may also bring their own if they wish. Entrants may conduct additional research prior to the event, but competition entries must be constructed on the day. There will be separate competitions for adults and children.
A panel of judges will evaluate entries for (a) creativity in the use of paper; (b) faithfulness to period techniques; (c) quality of construction; and (d) Adoranness. Winners will be announced on the night and receive a token in appreciation of their efforts.
If you are not an SCA Member, or do not provide proof of SCA Membership at the event (e.g. membership card or payment receipt), it is a requirement to pay event insurance of $10 for adults or $5 for minors (<18 years) in addition to the above prices.

Bookings have been extended to the 23rd May 2024. We prefer payments made by EFT by this date but contact the booking officers if alternate arrangements need to be made. Upon receipt of your booking request, we will send the details to make EFT payment. Late bookings may be made, but payment information must be shown for attendance.
If you find you cannot attend the event, please let us know as soon as possible before the event date. Refunds will be given at any time in cases of emergency, injury, sickness or Covid-like symptoms. For any other reason, a refund will be arranged if you let us know by the booking date. Participants are reminded that if they are unwell or showing cold or flu-like symptoms, they must not attend.
